Personality Psychology
Together, we are responsible for education, research, and services in the broad field of individual differences between people. In the fields of Differential and Personality Psychology, we focus on fundamental questions about the nature, assessment, and development of these individual differences, both from a normative perspective and from a more maladaptive or dysfunctional perspective. In addition, we focus on translating these insights into more applied domains, using our own expertise. In particular, we focus on the field of early parent-child interactions, forensic applications, development of social-emotional skills, and applications in occupational and organisational psychology. Although we are a heterogeneous group of researchers covering a broad field, we all start from the same starting point, namely: individual differences between people in terms of personality, interests, and identity forming as an important basis for the choices one makes and the development trajectories that one takes in the family and professional context.
An overview of our research fields can be found below with each staff member.
