Dominiek Saelens

Biograhpy

Dominiek is freelance copywriter and senior communication consultant. He works for a magazine publisher and for a PR agency in Brussels. Before that he was spokesperson, responsible for external communications and job marketeer at the Belgian Defense. Since 2001, he takes charge of lectures at the University of Ghent, teaching the practice of communication management in large organizations. He’s also involved in the course ‘Strategic Communication Challenges’ where he guides students in their assignment to solve a communication issue at a company or organization and to write a policy report about this. He holds a master degree in communication sciences and a master in political and military sciences. He is specialized in creating visibility through several media and on different ways, starting up communication lines with stakeholders and elaborate long term relationships. He has extensive experience with issues management and crisis communications.
