Katho Jacobs
Biography
Katho Jacobs holds a master’s degree in Communication Sciences at KU Leuven, specializing in strategy and management. For her master thesis she researched government communication regarding gambling with a focus on prevention. During writing her master thesis, she developed a great interest in gambling research and gambling harm prevention.
In June 2023, Katho started a joint PhD. She is currently working as a PHD Researcher at the Department of Communication Sciences (research group CEPEC) and the Department of Movement and Sport Sciences (research group Sports Management). She will conduct research on sports sponsorship by gambling operators and the influence on consumers’ gambling-related beliefs, attitudes and behaviours.
