Marloes de Brabandere
Biography
Marloes de Brabandere holds a master’s degree in Communication Sciences, specializing in communication management. For her master thesis she conducted research on influencer marketing, more specifically on micro-influencers.
In September 2020, shortly after her graduation, Marloes was asked to replace a teaching assistant. This way she was given the opportunity to combine the educational and academic aspect. During this replacement, her research focussed on the impact of food packaging on children and influencer marketing.
Since September 2021, Marloes started as a PhD Researcher at the Department of Communication Sciences. She will conduct research on how fitness influencers can have an impact on adolescents mental well-being and exercise behavior at the Center for Persuasive Communication (CEPEC). Furthermore, Marloes is also involved with several ongoing projects from the center.
