Alexander De Man is a PhD fellow of the Research Foundation - Flanders (FWO) conducting research in a joint fellowship at the Centre for Cinema and Media Studies (CIMS, Ghent University) and the Visual and Digital Cultures Research Center (ViDi, University of Antwerp). His research revolves around the political, industrial, and socio-cultural dynamics of diasporic cinema in the region of Flanders and specifically focuses on the role of film policy institutions in shaping them. He holds a master’s degree in Communication Sciences at Ghent University, specializing in Film- and Television Studies.
