Emiljano Kaziaj

Emiljano was a PhD student at Ghent University and member of CIMS (Center for Cinema and Media Studies) starting from September 2013. He holds a BA in Media and Communication and a Master degree in Public Relations. His research project was funded by the European Commission, Erasmus Mundus Action 2 project, Basileus. His research “Treating children as we see on the television” focused on representation of children in the television news. The aim was to investigate the concept of childhood created by media and its reception by the audiences. His PhD promoter was prof. Sofie Van Bauwel. Emiljano also worked as advocacy officer for an international Children’s rights organization.
