Isolde Vanhee
Isolde Vanhee lectures on Film History, Contemporary Art, and Visual Culture at LUCA - Sint-Lucas, Visual Arts Department in Ghent. She has a Master's Degree in Art History and holds a PhD in Communication Sciences. She is a film editor of Rekto:Verso. In November 2010, she successfully defended her doctoral thesis on the representation of the family in American gangster films. From 2001 to 2005, she was a staff member of the Museum of Contemporary Art (SMAK) in Ghent. She has published in various magazines on both film, painting, and the relationship between cinema and the fine arts. She has been a member of the Center for Cinema and Media Studies (CIMS) since 2005.
