In 2021, Linde Bossuyt obtained her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences with a specialization in Film and Television Studies at Ghent University. She then continued her studies with a Master in Gender and Diversity. In 2022, she started working as a teaching assistant at the Department of Communication Sciences and as a doctoral researcher at CIMS.
Her PhD project focuses on how older adults are represented in popular content within the Flemish television landscape. The aim is to gain insight into the media texts themselves, while also engaging with the actors involved—namely children, children’s media creators, and older adults. She is supervised by Prof. dr. Sofie Van Bauwel and Prof. dr. Stijn Joye.
