Barbara Behre is a PhD candidate and teaching assistant at the Department of Communication Sciences at Ghent University. In 2018, Barbara graduated as a master in Multilingual communication at the UGent Linguistics department.
After having worked in HR communications and foreign language education, she returned to the field of academic research as Doctoral Assistant. In 2020, she started her PhD on Sustainability communication in the online fashion industry.
Currently, she is investigating the interaction effects of different sustainability benefit messages and other product information on consumer perceptions and attitudes regarding sustainable clothing in online shops, by probing into the cognitive processes at the basis of consumer conceptualization of sustainability signals.
