Hanne is a PhD student at the research group for Media, Innovation and Communication Technologies at Ghent University since October 2023. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Lieven De Marez and Dr. Kristin Van Damme, she studies media trends and the changing news use of Flemish citizens, using quantitative and qualitative research methods. She will also be involved in the projects Apestaartjaren and Mediapunt.

Before joining Ghent University , Hanne worked as a research associate at KU Leuven, where she was part of the inter-university project ‘First aid in case of doubt’.
