Elise Storme is a teaching assistant and PhD candidate at the Department of Political Science. She holds an MA in Linguistics and Literature (2017) and MSc in Public Administration and Management (2020), both obtained at Ghent University. Her main research interests include political representation, political communication, gender, and violence/sexism against politicians. More specifically, she studies whether and how politicians communicate differently on social media based on their gender and the effect these potential differences have on the electorate. As a TA, Elise is involved in several courses of the bachelor and master program in ‘Public Administration and Management’ and ‘Political Science.’
