Ward Peeters is a PhD candidate and teaching assistant at the Department of Political Science at Ghent University. He holds master's degrees in Democracy and Leadership (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, 2020) and Political Communication (Universiteit Antwerpen, 2021). His primary research interests include 'Parliaments', 'Federalism' and 'Consociationalism'. In his PhD, he aims to measure to what extent the spirit of accommodation, which is central in the consociational democracy theory, is reflected in the parliamentary speeches of Belgian MPs. As a teaching assistant, Ward contributes to courses such as 'Politicologie', 'Actuele Politieke Problemen' and 'Belgisch Federalisme'.
