Michelle Haas

Credits: Eduard DelputteMichelle Haas is a Ph.D. researcher at the Ghent Institute for International and European Studies. Michelle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences and a Master’s degree in Conflict and Development.

Before joining Ghent University, she worked as a policy officer on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Development Cooperation at the Belgian Federal Parliament for three years. 

Her research focuses on changes in defence policies of European states, examining the impact of Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
