Ombuds Services
As a student you have your rights and your duties. These are written down in the Education and Examination Code (OER).
The OER in full: www.ugent.be/oer
In part V of the OER you can read for which services you can contact the Faculty Ombudsperson. There is also an institutional Ombudsperson who works for the whole university.
The Faculty Ombudsperson
The Faculty Ombudsperson treats complaints from students and staff members relating to the implementation of the Education and Examination Code and/or the provisions governing the legal position of students and/or situations which are perceived to be unfair within the wider framework of educational or examination events. The Faculty Ombudsperson is bound to discretion.
Individual contact details are available via the University phonebook (access restricted to faculty staff and registered students).
