Erwan Lannon
Erwan Lannon is professor of European law at the Ghent European Law Institute (G.E.L.I.), Faculty of Law and Criminology, Ghent University. He also teaches at the College of Europe on the Bruges (Dpts. Law, International Relations and Diplomatic Studies of the European Union & European Political and Administrative Studies) and Warsaw campuses (Dept. European Interdisciplinary Studies). He specializes in the area of external relations of the European Union and international and strategic relations (with particular emphasis on the European Neighbourhood Policy, the Mediterranean; EU’s proximity strategies, EU-Africa/Asia and the Indian Ocean) as well as in that of EU institutional and constitutional law. He is active in various networks, expert groups and worked as a consultant and international expert to several EU institutions and international organizations (EEAS, European Commission, European Parliament, UNCTAD, UNDP, European Movement International, Euromesco, Euromed IHEDN, IEMed). He also worked as director of studies at the Warsaw campus of the College of Europe and as senior researcher and head of the office of the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EEAS) within the General Secretariat of the EU Council.
