Kristien Ballegeer
Kristien Ballegeer has studied Applied Communications and has worked both in the public as the private sector.
After jobs at an Erasmus programme and in the faculty of Law at Kulak, Kortrijk, Kristien worked at an architect's bureau for six years as a managing assistant. In 2000, Kristien started working in the faculty of Science of Ghent University, where she was involved in the coordination of the international Nematology programme. In 2006, she moved to the faculty of Law where she joined the department of Public International Law after a two-year contract at the Social Law department.
Kristien is responsible for finances, conferences, project administration and allround support of the Grili Institute and the Maritime Institute. In 2020, she has obtained the certificate of Port management.
