Short Bio

 

Luk Burgelman obtained a law degree from Ghent University in 1998.

As of academic year 2024-2025, Luk joined the team as a practice assistant.

He was previously active at the faculty as an assistant in the field of legal history and as a practice assistant for the Goods Law course unit.

He has been a lawyer since 1999 and a deputy judge at the Wetteren justice of the peace court since 2020.

He is a founding member and currently vice president of the Institute for Law and Ethics in Veterinary Medicine (IRED) at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of UGent.
