EARN Network Meeting on Age Estimation
(23-09-2024) On 13 September 2024, Prof. Dr. Eva Lievens and Dr. Valerie Verdoodt represented the Law & Technology research group at the second meeting of the 3i research network.
This network on 'Explainable and bias-free age verification: a roadmap for future deployment' is a collaboration between the University of Kent, Ghent University and KU Leuven.
The meeting was hosted by the University of Kent in Canterbury. Attendees shared updates on research and recent developments in the area of (facial) age estimation, and worked on the elaboration of a roadmap for future deployment and research.
A third and final meeting of the network will take place in Leuven in December 2024.
