Templates Learning Agreement
The learning agreement is a crucial document for the recognition of a study period abroad. It is an agreement between the student, the sending institution and the receiving institution, organization or enterprise. The purpose of the Learning Agreement is to provide a transparent and efficient preparation of the exchange to make sure you receive recognition for activities successfully completed abroad.
For student mobility for studies the learning agreement contains the programme of studies abroad and the courses that will be replaced in your home degree upon successful completion of the study programme abroad. For traineeships and research the Learning Agreement refers to training or research activities.
Digital learning agreement: for exchanges in the context of Erasmus+ studies a digital learning agreement is required to submit your application. You should initiate your digital learning agreement via your home institution and once it is signed by yourself and your academic coordinator it will be sent to Ghent University in a digital manner. Ghent University will approve your learning agreement or provide comments. You can consult the status via the document section in your exchange application or via the online learning agreement tool at your home institution. Any updates on your digital learning agreement should be initiated in the system at your home institution.
There are standardized templates for studies and traineeships. For research in the scope of Erasmus+ you need to use these standard templates (depending on your Erasmus+ funding). For research outside the scope of the Erasmus programme you can use one of these templates or any agreement containing a reference to the research activities and approval of three parties.
