Non-EEA students from following categories pay tuition fee as EEA students (€ 578.50) :
- Student from OECD/DAC recognised developing country (lowest 2 categories)
- VLIR-UOS scholarship holders - UGent document needed upon enrolment
- Students with 'doctoral scholarship for candidates from developing countries' charged from BOF, awarded by the research council of the UGent (declaration signed by the chairman of the research council of the UGent needed
- Electronic Residence Card (mentioned in Art. II.215 Codex Higher Education)
- Non-EEA students who are a first degree relative of a national of a member state of the European Economic Area (valid at enrolment or before 31/12 of the AY).
- Applicants for international protection (persons with a legal residence but who's application for international protection is still pending with the government) pay the tuition fee as for EEA-students
Joint PhD
You have to pay the tuition fee at the institution(s) as agreed upon in your joint PhD agreement.
If you need to pay at UGent, the abovementioned tuition fees for EEA students or non-EEA students are applicable.
