Frequently asked questions

How do I create an account on Ufora?

Students and staff members have automatic access to Ufora.

External users (i.e. people without a UGent account) have to register in advance to be able to use Ufora. However, they cannot be added as students or staff members to OASIS courses (official course units).

How do I register for a course?

You are automatically enrolled in courses that belong to your Oasis curriculum. This is because in these courses, you are automatically given the role OASIS_STUDENT. If you delete this course in Oasis, you will also be automatically deregistered in Ufora for this course.

Via the menu on the right-hand side of the Ufora home page, you can enroll in infosites or (extra) courses for which "Discover" is enabled via the link "Enroll in course". For all other courses, you can ask the teacher to turn on "Discover", or add you manually. You can unsubscribe yourself from these info sites and (extra) courses via the link "Unenroll from course" in the menu on the right.
