FLAMES (Flanders' Training Network for Methodology and Statistics), an inter-university initiative launched in 2013, caters specifically to PhD students and post-docs. Throughout the year, FLAMES provides training, and each summer, it hosts a vibrant summer school featuring more than 20 modules that delve into both quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques.

In 2005, we introduced an international one-year advanced master’s program designed for scientists eager to master contemporary statistical methods and data analysis. This program allows participants to customize their studies with elective courses to suit their individual backgrounds and interests. It is structured into two distinct tracks: the Statistical Science Track, focusing on statistical theory and methodology, and the Computational Statistical Track, which offers a balanced mix of statistical methods, database management, and programming skills.

10 year mastat celebration

Our annual Mastat Day is a highlight for our community, uniting students, alumni, and faculty in a dynamic exchange of ideas. During this event, students showcase their master thesis research through posters, while alumni and guest speakers enrich the gathering with insightful seminars. Looking forward, we are excited to celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2025.
