Prof. Bart Cockx

Introduction

Bart Cockx (PhD in Economics, KULeuven, 1992) has been a research professor in the Department of Economics at Ghent University since 2008. He is also a research fellow at IRES (UCLouvain), IZA (Bonn), CESifo (Munich), and ROA (Maastricht University). His research focuses on labour economics and the micro-econometric evaluation of labour market policies. He teaches methods for estimating the causal impact of policies at the Belgian Doctoral School in Economics. As an expert in evaluation methods, Bart Cockx has extensive experience evaluating Belgian labour market policies, with findings regularly published in international peer-reviewed journals.
