Biomedical Engineering Programs

BSc in Biomedical Engineering (in Dutch with 30 credits domain specific courses in English)

This is a 3-year program (mainly in Dutch) that optimally prepares students for the MSc in Biomedical Engineering. Students get high-level education in advanced mathematics, physics, chemistry and engineering science. After a common 1st year with all engineering disciplines, domain-specific courses and projects start from the beginning of the 2nd year at Ghent University; at VUB the domain-specific program starts in the 3^rd year. About 30 credits of domain specific courses are taught in English both at UGent and VUB.

MSc in Biomedical Engineering

This is our standard 120 credits (2 year) English taught program, open to local and international students, where students follow courses at UGent and VUB. Students who aspire an international experience will not only get this through the collaboration with our international students, but may want to include an Erasmus exchange in the 2nd master.
