Hydraulics Laboratory
The Hydraulics Laboratory at Ghent University was founded in 1935 by Prof L.J. Tison (1895-1982).
The Laboratory staff provides education and training on undergraduate and graduate level as well as to field specialists. The adapted and specialized laboratory infrastructure provides a modern environment for oriented fundamental as well as applied research work.
Research activities in the Hydraulics Laboratory are mainly situated in the following fields:
- Hydraulic structures
- Hydrodynamics and morphodynamics of rivers and estuaries
- Eco-hydraulics
