TMelissa's research visit at Georgia State
In January, Melissa Verniest had the opportunity to present her working paper titled "How performance-based prosocial incentives affect employees' creative performance", co-authored with Sophie Maussen, at the 2025 MAS Midyear Meeting in Austin, Texas. The discussion by Bret Sheeley provided valuable new insights that will help improve the paper.
Before the conference, Melissa also participated in the 2025 IMA Doctoral Colloquium and the MAS Mentorship program. She is very grateful for the constructive feedback she received from Xinyu Zhang, who gave many insightful comments which will vastly increase the quality of the paper.
After the conference, Melissa arrived in Atlanta to start her research stay at Georgia State University. She is excited to participate in the local seminars, workshops, and brownbag sessions and she is very grateful for the warm welcome she received. Melissa would like to thank Ivo Tafkov in particular for hosting her.
