Interactive workshop on evidence synthesis for PhD students led by Dr. Alessio Bellato (University of Southampton, University of Nottingham Malaysia).

Dr. Alessio Bellato (University of Southampton, University of Nottingham Malaysia) will lead an interactive workshop on evidence synthesis, the process of systematically selecting, summarizing, and appraising data from multiple sources. This involves gathering data from past studies to draw conclusions, assess the support or refutation of theories, and identify research gaps that need addressing before solid conclusions can be drawn.

Studies such as systematic reviews and meta-analyses are instrumental in helping clinicians, policymakers, and researchers make informed decisions and recommendations for clinical practice. PhD students will be introduced to the method of evidence synthesis and will be equipped with basic skills to plan future evidence synthesis studies.

Before attending the workshop, attendees are encouraged to read the following blog by Dr. Bellato: https://www.timeshighereducation.com/campus/evidence-synthesis-what-every-student-and-researcher-should-know
