How to aim for molecular level insight in nucleic acid structures as presented by external experts and researchers from Ghent University.

This seminar explores approaches to obtain a deeper insight in molecular scale events that govern the behavior of nucleic acids structures when interacting with small organic molecules, or when chemically modified.

External experts and researchers from Ghent University will cover techniques such as isothermal and differential scanning calorimetry, native ESI-Mass Spectrometry and NMR spectroscopy for the investigation of small-molecule aptamers, as well as address advances in chromatographic separation methods.

PhD and postdoctoral researchers will also share their work on nucleic acid structures, emphasizing the possibilities of engineering chemical modifications towards potential applications in biosensing and in biomedical research.
