Lecture by Prof Dr. Vladimir Napetvaridze (Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Georgia)

In times of disinformation campaigns, political instability, and geopolitical tensions, it is important for states to build critical capabilities in artificial intelligence. This lecture will focus on how small European states, with an emphasis on Eastern European countries but also Belgium and Estonia, are dealing with this and how regulators are approaching these developments.

Using results from a consultation of experts and stakeholders, the lecture will provide valuable insights and provides a unique opportunity to learn more about the future of AI in the Eastern European region.
