Werner De Bondt will give a seminar on the impact of extreme returns on U.S. stock market anomalies. He will talk about the paper 'Extreme returns and U.S. stock market anomalies'.

Werner De Bondt is Professor of Finance Emeritus and Founding Director of the Driehaus Center for Behavioral Finance at DePaul University. As founder of behavioral finance, Professor De Bondt’s interdisciplinary work explores investor psychology and market dynamics, including concepts of bounded rationality, wishful thinking, and risk perception biases.

His research has appeared in top journals such as the Journal of Finance, European Economic Review, Review of Financial Studies, and American Economic Review. Professor De Bondt earned his PhD in Business Administration from Cornell University (1985) and has previously held academic positions in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, Switzerland, and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
