Master class on cognitive processing of Generative AI outputs presenting evidence from an eye-tracking study: lecture and Q&A for PhD students.

Professor Palash Bera of Saint Louis University (USA) is an internationally recognised expert in the study of cognitive processing of information and models via eye-tracking. He has published on the topic in MIS Quarterly. He will present a recent study investigating how analysts evaluate GenAI outputs based on their differences in problem-solving ability and trust in GenAI tools.

The study also sheds light on how students evaluate GenAI outputs compared to the outputs created by human experts. After the lecture, Professor Bera will have 1-to-1 meetings with PhD students.

We target two types of PhD students:

  • PhD students who seek advice on eye-tracking tooling and methodology
  • PhD students with an interest in the cognitive processing of Generative Artificial Intelligence information

PhD students interested in having such a meeting after the lecture are invited to let their intentions know so that meetings can be scheduled (send a message to the address above).
