BIS-internship for highly educated non-native speakers
Who can follow this internship?
- You are looking for a job
- You receive a benefit (from RVA) or a living wage (from OCMW)
- You have a foreign origin from outside the European Union
- You have a permanent residence status
- You are allowed to work in Belgium
- You have a master's degree obtained in Belgium (or declared equivalent by NARIC)
- You have a B2 certificate of the Dutch language
- You are a resident of Ghent
- You are available for about 6 months to do an internship with a training contract (not an employment contract)
- You want to gain work experience
What does the university offer?
- An exciting internship of about 6 months, depending on the training plan approved by VDAB at one of the many departments or services of Ghent University
- An internship allowance (whereby you keep part of your benefit or living wage)
- A laptop on loan
- An internship mentor who offers you administrative support
- A language coach who helps you to optimize your (academic) Dutch
- A job coach who helps you sharpen your professional competences
- A job application trainer who supports you in writing your current CV and motivation letter tailored to the vacancy of your interest
