Training, Information Sessions, and Walks on Diversity

The university offers various trainings, information sessions, and themed walks for leaders, teams, and staff on diversity topics. These are tailored to the needs and requests of the faculty or university department.

Diversity Training

  • Transgender Awareness
    A training focused on guidance and education around gender identity and expression in the workplace, as preparation for constructive collaboration with a transgender colleague.
  • Neurodiversity in the Workplace
    This training raises awareness of neurodiversity (such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, etc.) and teaches participants how to create a supportive work environment.
  • Gender-Inclusive Writing Workshop
    Participants learn how to apply gender-inclusive language in communication to prevent unconscious exclusion of underrepresented staff groups.
  • Cross-Cultural Competence
    This workshop provides insight into cultural differences and trains intercultural and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in diverse teams.
  • Diversity-Aware Teaching
    Lecturers learn how to consider diverse backgrounds and learning styles of students to promote inclusion in teaching.

Inspiration Forums

An interactive meeting where participants gain ideas and insights on a specific topic, complemented by input from an expert or inspiring speaker. The goal is to stimulate knowledge sharing and reflection, while leaving space for discussion and the exchange of perspectives.

Walks

Themed walks are guided walks where participants explore diversity topics through stories, experiences, and insights. They promote mutual understanding and empathy, while providing an accessible setting to learn about the impact of these topics on the work and living environment.

  • Language Walk (in February for International Mother Language Day)
  • Gender Blender Walk (in March for International Transgender Visibility Day)
  • Feminism Walk (in March for International Women's Day)
  • Accessibility Walk (in March for International Wheelchair Day or in April for World Autism Day)
  • Rainbow Walk (in May for International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia)
  • Migration Walk (in May for International Day for Cultural Diversity)
  • Refugee Walk (in June for World Refugee Day)
