Are you already familiar with the Sustainability Summer Schools?
(11-06-2024) This summer's end, three Sustainability Summer Schools will once again take place on Ghent University Campuses.
Dive deeper into topics on environmental justice & transformative futures, animal welfare and diversity & inclusion through fascinating workshops, inspiring lectures, and interesting excursions. All three are unique opportunities to get in touch with fellow students from numerous disciplines and experts on a variety of social-ecological themes.
All summer schools are free, but places are limited. So register quickly for one or more of these unmissable experiences!
Animal Welfare
From 11 to 15 September, the Summer School Animal Welfare will take place. Here you will learn to look at the current policy framework concerning the welfare of companion animals, wild animals and laboratory animals from different perspectives. The program is in English. Registration is possible until Sunday 18 July.
Environmental Justice & Transformative Futures
The day after it's the turn of the Environmental Justice & Transformative Futures Summer School. From 16 to 20 September, you will learn about different approaches to the themes of the justice component of sustainability issues and alternative futures. The Summer School will be held in English. Registration is possible until Sunday 7 July.
Diversity & Inclusion
During the same timeframe, the Summer School Diversity & Inclusion is organised. This will take place from 16 to 18 September and aims to immerse students in the different dimensions of and perspectives on diversity and inclusion. This three-day event takes place in Dutch. You can register until July 15.
