Structure of the Cluster 4 Programme

Actions on this cluster are divided in six destinations, each of them matching a different impact from the Strategic Plan:

European Partnerships between private and/or public entities will be formed to address some of Europe's most pressing challengesa and to contribute significantly to achieving the EU’s political priorities. The following are the candidate partnerships in the area of digital, industry and space:

Underlying ambitions and policies

Research projects included in this cluster aim to ensure the competitive edge and autonomy of EU industry in a number of  strategic technological sectors and value chains, while improving cooperation and commerce with third countries. Safeguarding security of supply and the technological non-dependence are vital component of the EU's strategic autonomy.

Actions under this cluster will foster climate-neutral, circular and clean industry, contributing to achieve climate-neutral EU industries by 2050, calling for a climate-neutral Europe by 2050 and foster a circular economy.
The EU technology developments will follow a human-centred approach, going hand in hand with European social and ethical values, social inclusiveness, and the creation of sustainable, high-quality jobs including through social innovation.
