Who we are

iMATCH (image-based MATerial CHaracterization) provides advanced digital imaging and analytical solutions for materials and devices.

The iMATCH platform

Our expertise includes X-ray, electron and optical imaging techniques combined with digital data analysis on a wide range of materials. From the nano to device scale, we work together with you to develop the materials that pave the way towards a sustainable society. From services to applied research projects we collaborate with partners world-wide to push the boundaries of innovation.

Our mission

iMATCH unifies interdisciplinary image-based material research at AUGent and facilitates in research collaborations with industry to enable the next generation of complex and multi-functional ‘materials by design’.

Positioning of the iMATCH platform

The iMATCH team

We are an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers at Ghent University Association combining material expertise with state-of-the-art imaging and data analysis. Our platform is part of the Industrial Liaison Network of AUGent and is funded by the Industrial Research Fund (IOF).
