Optical microscopy
Optical microscopy uses light to magnify create a magnified image either through reflection of transmission of visible light. While optical microscopy provides limited resolution compared to techniques like electron microscopy, it excels in real-time imaging, ease of use, and versatility.
iMATCH covers applications including petrography, (ore)mineralogy and microstructure analysis using optical microscopy.
