About the Institute

The tax law department falls under the broader department of Interdisciplinary Study of Law, Private Law and Business Law and gathers all those involved in education and research related to education and research within the Ghent Faculty of Law and Criminology. tax law.

With regard to education, this department provides on the one hand all subjects related to tax law within the law program, but this department is also responsible for a number of tax courses within the Faculty of Economics and Business.

The scientific research in the department is very diverse in nature. It covers the general principles, personal income tax, corporate tax, non-resident tax, registration and inheritance taxes, as well as formal tax law within these domains. This is investigated from a local, regional, national, European and international level with a focus on related disciplines.
