Felix Desmyttere

Felix (Master of Laws, Ghent University, 2018) is a PhD researcher under supervision of Prof. Dr. Mark Delanote at the Tax law Institute within the department of Interdisciplinary Study of Law, Private Law and Business Law at the UGent Faculty of Law & Criminology.

His doctoral research is titled: “The cost of tax compliance obligations: compatibility with the right to property”.

In addition to his doctoral research, Felix is committed to practical education, which focuses on professional and scientific skills related to the (administrative and judicial) tax procedure. In addition, Felix focuses on the developing regulatory framework applicable to “crypto-assets”, with a particular emphasis on tax law (e.g. exchange of information) and anti-money laundering regulations.
