The Faculty of Sciences is a leading research faculty where excellence is central. The faculty is continuously committed to further strengthening its position and has developed a research policy based on three solid pillars:

  • A connecting, interdisciplinary approach, both within the faculty and the university, as well as through intensive collaboration with external partners. The policy is aligned with this to enhance impact, efficiency, and outreach.
  • A stimulating approach by actively seizing opportunities and steering the policy accordingly. Researchers are actively encouraged and supported by policy.
  • A strong focus on well-being, as a promoting parameter in optimal functioning.

The entirety of the research is faculty-driven and coordinated by a research director, faculty policy officers, and committees. These interact with the departments, researchers, and central stakeholders.
