About us

The Department of Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry is part of the Faculty of Sciences at Ghent University, Belgium.

The department currently employs about 150 staff members and provides education in approximately 35 courses. The department mainly contributes to the curricula of the Bachelor in Chemistry and of the Master in Chemistry.

Right now the department consists of 8 different research groups divided over 3 main clusters:

The current head of the department is Prof. Peter Dubruel
