Event on cost-effectiveness of mental health care interventions
About?
Calculating actual cost-effectiveness is essential as it provides awareness regarding the potential influence researcher’s work might have on mental health care. However, there is also an ethical caveat in evaluating every intervention in terms of cost-effectiveness. During this lecture and plenary discussion attention will be paid to the usefulness, added value, as well as pitfalls in working with costs associated with (Quality Adjusted) Life Years (QA)LYs). After the lecture, participants have the unique opportunity to learn how to calculate and take into account the cost-effectiveness of interventions.
