Nobel Biocare Chair

INTRODUCTION

Together with Nobel Biocare, the world leader in innovative implant-based dental restorations, the Periodontology Research Group at UGent established the Nobel Biocare chair.

OBJECTIVES

The Nobel Biocare Chair aims to support education and scientific research in oral implantology at UGent. The team develops treatment concepts for singular and multiple tooth replacement. A minimally invasive approach is always central here. Several PhD students are working on documenting the results of these treatment concepts and comparing them with alternatives. The chair also organises various continuing education activities for dentists and dental specialists.
